Many males aged 13 - 35 watch a show that was originally intended for little girls.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a show about six ponies who go on a quest of teaching how friendship and love are valuable.
Why would men been interested in something so childish? They say it is because of the humor and the well-written plots, but nonetheless, it is still rather eccentric that men would love something so GIRLY and FEMININE.
Even more disturbing is how that some of them claimed to be sexually attracted to said pony characters. The "bronies" (fans of the show) embrace it by calling it "masculine" and for "manly men".
The show portrays a female-dominated society where the men are seen as weak and inferior. The character "Big Mac," is portrayed as dumb and useless while the female ponies are shown as smart and capable of doing things themselves.
The creator of the show, Lauren Faust, left, is a feminist.Many of the bronies attend to the pony con where they show their love for the characters and buy the toys, etc.
What is this? And why are there so many bronies? Have men lost their sense of what is masculine? Embracing things that are based on "girlpower"? Have they lost touch with who they are?
Another thing, some of the men who watch this show claim to be feminist themselves.
