Romantic love is what happens when sexual attraction is confused with idealism.

Romantic love was a fixation on pleasures and sorrows associated with courtship and rejection.  Before the industrial age 'romance' was a luxury of the idle rich.

Romanticism is associated with glorification of the passions. Romantic love is what happens when sexual attraction is confused with idealism.

Fifty years ago the pop songs idealized an illusion of "selfless" sacrifice to the object of "love".  Today the music idealizes self-aggrandizing sex.

People who are emotionally arrested in a courtship feedback loop are everywhere.

They share a common history of multiple divorces and many bad relationships, and are still living the 'Seinfeld' bed hopping lifestyle in their 50's, oblivious to the fact they missed the boat.

The time for starting families for women is 18-27, max.  As for men who age but their dates are always 23, there does come a point where the man sacrifices dignity for it.  There's a cycle of human years and the wise person respects it.

Robert Crumb nailed suburban American teen 'love' in the 1950's. He said his first approach to girls was to try to be their friend.

At first he tried to show that he was sensitive and understanding but soon learned he was treated like dirt by girls who would crawl over broken glass for abusive and crude athletes.

"I saw that girls don't want guys to be like them".   So he stopped doing anything to please women.

He said that's why during the 60's when he was famous for Hippie comic books, he continued to get haircuts and dressed like a 1950's nerd.

Janis Joplin tried to take him shopping for hippie clothes (that's called doing a 'makeover') but he declined.

Lady Gaga promotes a role reversal mentality the culture-creation industry has tried to foist on youth for 40 years.

They want boys to believe the way to attract girls is to feminize themselves.   Gaga's homo dancers in their fishnets and 6" stilettos aren't there to draw a gay following --- that's less than 2% of the MARKET!  There's no money in it.

No, they're not there to draw fans; they're there to program pubescent children and adolescents to think that having homosexual sex makes you attractive to the opposite sex.

It's a fraud.  If she's so gay, why is she always surrounded by gay men?

No. This article, God Vs. The Miniskirt,  reaches the right conclusion.  The man that holds his attention on his family and responsibilities instead of fixating on women is beyond the reproach of any woman.  He's got no handles a malicious woman can grab onto or buttons to push.

We've lost so much of our real human culture since the Kinsey Report lies, Playboy "philosophy", and "sex revolutions"  for a century.  We're born into a counterfeit culture.

I found this 60 year old recording that tells how people used to be when priorities were still well known.    Go straight to minute 9 on the time the first time you listen to it.

He's explaining that men and women who put God and family above attraction assures - and accept nothing less than the same - have success in marriage the first time.
