("C'mon! Escape the cage)
Your body and mind (thoughts) are the cage.
Your true identity, the soul, is the dove.
Escape the material world
by renouncing the world
and serving/identifying with soul (consciousness) instead of the world.
John 3:3 - Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, [die to the world] he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Here are some responses:
"People let their minds run their lives when their hearts (spirit) should be in the driving seat if you value happiness."
"People care about status, peer recognition, being someone important in the eyes of others... But once you have that status and recognition, you most likely won't be happy. Its a mirage. Now your feeling of self-worth comes from other people's opinions about you, and you are trapped."
"Happiness comes from feeling calm and content, which is the opposite of what a career does to you."
"Money is important for happiness though, at least in the west. Enough money to not have to think about gathering it on a monthly basis. Money should be like water. When you need it, it's there, in normal amounts."
People can be possessed by anything. Most rational non believing good people I guess you could consider possessed by ideas information and memes, but those are all things that occupy the mind. Likewise could be said that people are possessed by drugs, sex, money, etc. But what it boils down to is a desire to satiate the body (which the mind is part of), and an emptiness of the soul.
"We are brains piloting skeletal mechs."
"Souls piloting meat suits."
"This is a pit stop. When I come back again hopefully the Earth will be a better place but what I'm really hoping is that I'll move on to another planet because this one blows."
"it started with a voice... God made man in his image". I took to mean I am a voice guiding my voice controlled body.
"Yes, we are souls having the experience of being Human.
"If most people actually knew this the world would be a better place.

We should never say we're too good for this world. If we do then chances are we won't be happy in any other place for too long either because life is what you make it. As Jesus said, " The Kingdom of God is within you" ( Luke 17:21 KJV).
There is no amount of money or medical science that can give you the peace and happiness that comes from within. As Mathew Henry once pointed out, very often the more money one acquires in his lifetime the further he distances himself from God. How can you have humility when you live in a multi million dollar mansion, own a private jet, and all the best things of this world to go with it.
A lot of these Evangelical Televangelists today just don't believe in a humble and modest lifestyle at all. They believe they are going to have it both ways. As Jesus said, " "It is easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God", (Mark 10:25 KJV). This is another one of those biblical verses they don't like reciting anymore. All we have to do is put trust in the Word of God and life will take care of itself.
