Your article today filled in a lot of holes that interfered with my ability to maintain Common Sense, Common Decency, etc. I was 51 years old before I actually got a Bible. However, the source was the wrong one forcing me down the wrong lane for quite a while before I “woke up” and found a better, more reliable way to deal with the world.

Then, of course, I had more light & dark crashes due to other people who didn’t seem to care when I had questions they didn’t want to deal with. It was still later before I found out that they regarded me as “politically incorrect.” Little did I know that I was being enslaved and the brainwashing was not doing its job for THEM.

This is common these days though, the world is full of these nihilistic God-haters.

I've recently done a few jobs for private customers who were obvious atheists. Sometimes its as easy as observing the complete lack of fire in their eyes to determine their religious beliefs (science and ego worship), and hearing them speak to determine their political views (emasculated/ snobby = leftist).
Yet, what is disturbing is that there is a common theme in their homes that I am finding - which is a mockery of God. I keep finding bobble-head Jesus's, sock puppet Jesus's, etc.
And in typical leftist fashion, the snotty Charles Dawkin's-like anti-religion books are not far away, maybe coupled with a few psychology books (because all these people are sick, maybe they try to heal themselves with endless psychology reading).
If this isn't Satanic I don't know what is. This isn't a disbelief in God, this is a cowardly rebellion against God. Out of all the things to mock, 'atheists' choose Jesus? The Son of God who died to show He loved us? What sad degenerates.

Also, they mock the One who is loved intimately and dearly by many devout people all over the world in a way which words cant describe, and they do it with a smugness and self-righteousness that lacks any scruple.

Nevertheless, it even states in the Bible that there is nothing that isn't God. Everything is a creation of God, and God eternally manifests His creation.
The world is a creation of dualities. We don't have to be told by any holy scripture that this is so because it is self evident. There has to be both light and shadow to create contrast.
How is anyone supposed to know what good is without knowing the opposite? In order to make a choice, or a value judgment, there has to be a differential. The essence of creation is that differential.
We would be unable to grow spiritually without the hard work of changing for the better. Evil is here so we have that choice.
Our free will allows us to chose whichever path we desire. By choosing the easier path of evil we inevitably experience misery. When we become disillusioned with evil, we turn back to the harder path of good.

Misery is the whip to remembrance. How many of us would turn to God if our lives were fulfilled by greed, malice and material wealth? God will not force us to choose Him; we need to make that choice willingly. Even then we have to work hard to find Him.

This was a very interesting and thought-provoking article. I think you hit the nail on the head by saying evil is the "absence of God" rather than some countervailing force.

This distinction goes back a long way. The Zohar is only from the 14th century, when Greek (ie Pythagorean / Platonic) philosophy had
experienced a resurgence. However, from what I can discover, Pythagoras and Plato (contrary to David Livingstone's thesis) saw things in pretty much the same way as you. Their ideas were misused
– in their own time by the gnostics, and later by the kabbalists.

(I suppose this goes even further back, but you get the idea).

Pythagoras and Plato deal extensively with the problem of evil: if God is good, why does evil exist? Their basic conclusion, which is
fully fleshed out by later philosophers like Liebniz, is that while all things are not good, all things work toward the good. For
example, children starving is not good, but it is an invitation to practice charity, which is a test of our will, and introduces
positive good into the world.

The gnostics and kabbalists then say – well, if evil exists as an invitation for good, then extreme evil will create extreme good –
so if you want a messiah, drop a nuclear weapon. They see the world, rather than a place that can and should be improved through application of reason and free will – as a prison that can only be escaped through intensifying death-and-rebirth rituals.

As you suggest in your various articles about cultural subversion, a person could only come to such an insane conclusion if they feel
abandoned (or abused) by God. Without the unconditional love of a proper family, and without healthy spiritual and philosophical
guidance, virtue and self-sacrifice can feel meaningless and unrewarded.

It's not easy to live in this world. Even Christ on the cross thought he had been forsaken by God. It's important to see the role bad philosophy, not just bad people, makes the world worse. (If
you've killed hundreds of millions of people, and your messiah hasn't shown up yet, do you think you might be on the wrong track?)

It's also important to see how good philosophy can help make each person and the world better, and how we all need a bit of philosophy to summon the strength and will to do what's right
rather than what's profitable.

There are many kabbalahs as there are many spellings of the word; the Abes Kids website by Daniel Feldman being one, which uses the structure of the cabala tree to make the case for cross-religious analysis, re universalism. One could differentiate between the cabalism of Alestair Crowley from the cabalism of Daniel Feldman, for example. Daniel stresses meditation; Crowely stresses Crowley and went mad.

Christ was a reformer of Judaism as Buddha was a reformer of Hinduism, and their messages strike essentially similar, and so too Confucius, as a reformer of the prior Chinese religio-political culture, has essentially the same message , with all three centred around the 'golden rule' which is that spark from God that allows us to see ourselves in others and so experience empathy, altruism, etc.

The knot of psychopaths you describe find justifications in a certain kind of cabala, and it is the dichotomy between the Pharisees and Christ all over again, and then there are always to be found the Zealots as useful idiots.

As you say, 'religion' comes from a moral connection with one God, but sadly, theocratic structures in the name of religion often become instruments for power seeking and hence evil, the ego-luciferian rebellion against the golden rule of our one God.

And so, for example, there is the scandal of Madonna's cabala group run by Berg I believe, but of course one cannot know what all goes on in any group from the outside.

The ego temptations are always the same in any 'established religion' or even a small religious commune, as the '60's showed, but when you mix these 'human all too human' temptations with power backed by trillions in assets and the ability to print money and sell the paper to governments who then fleece the value out of the herd of taxpayers... well then, re the dictum 'power corrups', this degree of power leads to levels of psychopathic corruption difficult for ordinary people to imagine. And yes, they organize around free masonry and a generally discredited version of cabala.

This form of cabala provides them with a cohesion they would not otherwise have.
